Sandra advised that a letter of apology was received from Eddie Olivarez, scheduled speaker,
for his absence at our Annual Conference.  The letter was passed around for members
to read.  

Discussion was held regarding the selection of a date for the annual conference.  A change back to August was discussed as there were 3 or 4 other conferences held the weekend before “NP
Awareness Week” in November.  August 28th 2010 was unanimously decided, as it was after school starts and also would not interfere with Labor Day weekend. 

Sandra brought up discussion that we had not had official elections in three years.  She advised the group that due to health issues, she had been unable to complete the clinical hours necessary for advanced practice.  As VP, Betty Bautista, would assume the office of Presidency.  Betty then appointed Shelley Bryant to assume the office of Vice President and she accepted.  

The By-Laws were presented. Sandra moved to accept the by-laws and Shelley seconded the 
motion. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
