  Purpose:
  Our purpose is to promote the professional excellence of Nurse Practitioners in the Rio Grande Valley; to support health care through leadership and advocacy; and to provide professional education.
   
  Goals:
  • Provide continuing education programs for APNs.
• Educate the public regarding the role of the APN.
• Provide educational scholarships for APN students.
• Establish channels of communication & cooperation with other individuals or groups who share the purpose and vision of VAPNA
• Act as a resource group for APNs.
   
  Memberships:
  Regular: Registered Nurses in Advanced Practice: Nurse Practitioners, Certified Nurse Midwives, Certified Nurse
  Anesthetists, Clinical Nurse Specialists
Associate: Any person interested in fostering the purpose and
goals of VAPNA. (May not serve as committee chair or as an officers and may not vote)
   
  Dues: $30.00 Annually
   
  Meetings: 1st Thursday of each month, location to be announced. Please check the calendar for more information.
