Objectives:
  • Identify criteria indicated for ordering CT Scan vs. MRI.
  • Discuss the evaluation and management strategies for the metabolic syndrome.
  • Understand the effects of healthcare reform on APRN practice.
  • Learn the pitfalls of polypharmacy and multiple medication interactions.
  • Understand three types of childhood anemia and it’s management.
  • Review the signs and symptoms of major depression, available screening tools and common medications used.
