“AGENDA FOR CHANGE”

This program will provide an update of current changes in clinical practice for advanced practice nurses, nurse educators and registered nurses.

Objectives:
  • Learn the art of suturing in a office setting
  • Discuss the evaluation and management strategies for dermatologic problems
  • Recognize differences in identifying and managing ADHD in children, adolescents, and adults
  • Understand long-term consequences and medically related illnesses of bariatric surgery
  • Discuss short and long term cancer survivorship issues and available resources
  • Review current guidelines and standards related to (1) immunizations and (2) infection control practice in ambulatory settings
  • Understand appropriate laboratory tests for and disease states associated with
    Vitamin D deficiency and replacement strategies

Application has been made for 3.0 C.E.s for pre-conference and 6.0 C.E.s for conference of which 2.45 will be considered as pharmacy C.E.s and should meet the criteria for Type I mandatory continuing education requirements toward relicensure as established by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas. AANC is an accredited provider and approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. (Must be present for entire conference to receive credit).
